Parking

Finding parking can be challenging. If you must drive, plan ahead and check out our resources and information on parking!

General Parking Information

SMC Parking Tips: If you absolutely must drive to campus, plan extra time for traffic and parking. We recommend heading directly to Bundy Campus where parking is free, plentiful, and shuttles run to the main campus every 14 minutes. The BBB #44 shuttle drops off at 17th and Pearl on the main campus. To park on any of the SMC campuses you must have a current parking permit.

Parking Permits: Parking permits for Main Campus, Center for Media and Design (CMD), and the Performing Arts Center (PAC) can be purchased online at www.smc.edu/parking or in-person at the Cashier's Office. Permits for Bundy and Airport Arts campuses are free but must also be obtained through the same website above. See information about free parking at Bundy and Airport below.

Visitor Parking: Visitor parking for the main campus is available for $11 per day. Purchase visitor parking passes online. All students and visitors are expected to follow SMC's parking rules and regulations.

Tips to Avoid Traffic at SMC

1. Plan ahead. Schedule at least an hour before your class starts to make sure you get to class on time. And know where your class is located: SMC Campus Maps

2. Use Drop Off / Pickup Zone on Pico and 17th Street, NOT Pearl Street. For more information, visit Transportation. Do not use Pearl Street (it is too congested). Do not allow the driver to stop in front of driveways, in bike lanes or in bus stops.

3. Avoid driving your car. Parking is very challenging and unpredictable. If you must drive, it is best to park at Bundy Campus (3171 S Bundy Dr., LA.). There is no cost for this parking decal and there are plenty of spaces. Shuttles run every 14 minutes to the main campus.
