COSM-> COSM 95C: Salon Experience

This course is a module of a variable unit, variable hour, open-entry/open-exit experience which provides the opportunity to obtain practical salon training working on patrons. The practical work is as close to the actual beauty salon experience as possible. Students will earn hours toward the required practical hours and operations to be eligible to take the California State Board of Barbering, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Care, and/or Hair-styling exam, under the supervision of faculty.

    COSM 10A and COSM 10B.

    Transfer: None;
    Advisory: Cosmetology, Barber and Hair-styling students must have completed and passed level 1 and 2 hands on practical courses that pertain to their program. Skin Care and Manicuring students must have completed and passed level 1 hands on practical courses that pertain to their program. Barber crossover students should email the Cosmetology Dept Chair.;
    COSM 95 is a variable unit course offered in four modules -- A, B, C, or D. Students should sign up for the module that best fits their course schedules to maximize hours earned.
